Newest Obsession: Bluemercury Spa!

This week I was honored to have the opportunity to try out a Brightening Facial ($165) at Bluemercury's newest spa location on the Upper West Side (2305 Broadway) in NYC. If you're in the market for a facial THIS is one you've been looking for girls! But first let me give you a little background info on this amazing spa...

Back in 1999 Marla Malcolm Beck founded Bluemercury and she is a self professed product JUNKIE! She personally tests all the products that are offered in the store and let me tell you they offer an amazing array of different makeup, skincare, haircare, and body products that can rival any department store! When I walked into Bluemercury I was greeted warmly by a member of their knowledgeable sales team and whisked away to a serene, dimly lit waiting room where I sipped on herbal tea and waited for one of their best Esthetician's Natalia Higginbotham to brighten my dull complexion! Once I changed into a plush robe I was ready for my facial, Natalia was very sweet and knowledgeable and explained everything to me while she worked her magic on my tragic skin. First she removed my makeup, cleansed my skin and did manual exfoliation after that was done she applied the glycolic peel (which is not available over the counter) all the products she used were SkinCeuticals and they smelled fabulous! While the peel was doin' it's thing she gave me an amazing hand and shoulder massage that left me semi conscious. After the peel was removed she performed manual extractions (which were much needed!) Then she applied a Vitamin C mask, gave me ANOTHER amazing massage and left me to nap! Once I was awakened she finished the facial off with a cool oxygen blast and sent me on my way!

It was such an amazing experience (one I hope to relive very soon!) the environment was just so calm, serene and relaxing which is what I needed after a long day at work! When I left my skin was glowing, literally! I felt so confident on my train ride home. Natalia was able to give me some great tips and some samples to help keep my skin looking this great. She also recommended I go back in a month or so for their Crystal Facial ($180) which will help my skin achieve pure PERFECTION!
